We went to his fraternity house afterwards and each took a swig of a bottle of champagne I had brought. Not very glamorous, but we were just getting started! After that we went to his best friend's sisters sorority house (she graduated also) and had lunch. He & a few friends organized a party at a sort of warehouse that you can rent. They had a band and a "bar" (sort of a board laid across some barrels i think) with tap beer flowing. I was hesitating about going because I didnt want to interefere with his fun, but he insisted so I went and we had a great time! We all went (me and the other kids) and my son Richard and I got back to Keiths apartment at 5 a.m. (Just like the good old days!) I even let Richard (he's 16) drink 1/4 glass of beer. What the hell. It was a great weekend!

I went to Atlanta for a day to record a few songs with Magnet at Casino Studio. Dan Brenner, who played on the first Magnet CD was there, as was Mark and Danny ("my" bass player). We worked like dogs (14 hours straight-but we're tough) and got 4 tracks down.

The children's album I sang a few songs on will be out on Feb. 23rd.

Hey, this is cool news---an album I produced (Love Is A Gas) by Paul K and the Weathermen was picked by Pulse magazine as the #3 record of 97 in the rock/pop category. I guess now I can command BIG fees, right? Maybe not. But what the hell, its nice to have an "award"!

The Velvet Bootleg project is coming along nicely. Sal Mercuri is doing a great job gathering info and tracking down tapes. If you know of anyone with source tapes, please let me know!

My son Keith--who you may be sick of hearing about--went to NY to do some interviews. He got offers at all seven and is now perplexed about whether or not he should take one of the offers or save up some money before trying to move to the big apple. Any suggestions?
