My son Keith will graduate from Georgia Tech in December and I sure am proud! His degree will be in Mechanical Engineering --BUT-- guess what he wants to do? Get into being a tour manager. You know, like head roadie! Holy shit! Five years of college, math, formulas, physics, lunacy -- and he wants to be a roadie!! Oh well. As long as he's happy. My son the mechanical engineer/roadie. Gulp.
As you can see on another page of this site, my new cd's are in the pressing plant! I spent three days in Atlanta mixing, mastering, and delivering to the plant.I mixed at Casino Studio, where we recorded, and mastered at Rodney Mills' Masterhouse. I've never been able to be present for mastering and it was really an interesting experience. Lou always told me how important it was to be there for the mastering and he was right!

The things they can do to the sound are just amazing - and kind of scarey. Rodney's a real nice guy, has a beautiful studio, and is very patient!! AND-it turns out that he's from Douglas!!! I'll be going to NY on the 17th to work with the Kropotkins. We're playing at the Bottomline on the 20th, and recording for a few days. I'll let you know how it goes.
Over the past few days Ive addressed over 400 postcards in preparation for my sales campaign! A very helpful guy gave me a great mailing list on diskette. Of course I couldnt make the damn thing work on MY computer, so I've been doing everything by hand. Computers can be fun, but they sure can be FRUSTRATING AS HELL!!!!!!!!
